Wildlife Care Specialist

Position Overview:

  • Upholding exceptional standards of animal care and management
  • Assisting in habitat maintenance, upkeep, and enhancement
  • Preparing approved dietary plans, nutritional needs, and enrichment activities for diverse species
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Supporting animal relocation and training initiatives as required
  • Fostering positive interactions with visitors
  • Reporting maintenance issues and necessary repairs
  • Engaging in animal management initiatives
  • Pursuing ongoing professional development and training opportunities

Candidate Profile:

  • Hands-on experience with a range of animal species
  • Understanding of husbandry practices within zoological settings
  • Exhibit initiative and a proactive attitude towards responsibilities
  • Capability to handle specific animal species and conduct Keeper Experiences
  • Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to the work environment
  • Proficient knowledge of ZIMS
