Wildlife Curator
At the Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers, we are seeking a skilled Wildlife Curator to join our team. As a Wildlife Curator, you will be responsible for the care and management of our diverse collection of waterfowl, Chilean flamingos, and Asian short-clawed otters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Collection Manager in achieving the highest standards of animal husbandry and welfare.
- Work with the collection team to maintain and improve our exhibits showcasing the spectacular variety of wetland wildlife.
- Deliver high-quality talks and events, sharing your knowledge of conservation with people of all ages.
Requirements:
- Previous animal husbandry experience.
- Ability to assist in the maintenance of the collection exhibits and infrastructure on site.

- 33 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays, increasing to 38 days after 5 years' service.

We conserve, restore, and create wetlands, and we are pioneers in saving wetland wildlife, both in the UK and around the world. At our 10 UK sites, around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature. We work internationally in key global wetland areas, balancing conservation with sustainable livelihoods and influencing national and international conservation policies.
