About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Macmillan Davies, a leading business in the distribution and manufacture of specialist engineering components. As a key member of our People team, you will provide expert HR support and guidance to our line managers and employees across all functions of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Advisory Services: Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to line managers and employees on all employment-related matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Employee Relations: Deal with employee and manager queries in a professional and efficient manner, resolving issues and providing coaching and support as needed.
  • Business Partnerships: Work closely with our business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's growth and success.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management: Support the recruitment process, including interview planning and candidate management, and contribute to the development of our talent management programs.
  • Employee Engagement and Wellbeing: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention, and provide coaching and support to managers on these topics.
  • HR Systems and Data Analysis: Maintain and improve our HR systems, including our HRIS, and provide data analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in HR advisory roles, with a strong understanding of UK employment legislation and HR practices.
  • Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) or higher.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Driving License: Essential for this role, as you will need to travel to different locations when required.
