We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Macmillan Davies, a leading business in the distribution and manufacture of specialist engineering components. As a key member of our People team, you will provide expert HR support and guidance to our managers and employees across all functions of the business.

About the Role:

  • Provide HR advisory services to line managers and employees, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Deal with employee and manager queries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Support with processes and procedures for TUPE, restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and organizational change.
  • Support managers with recruitment-related activities.
  • Guide managers on absence management and take ownership of long-term sick management.
  • Support employment tribunal processes from beginning to end.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers on HR-related topics.
  • Use and maintain the HRIS, produce and analyze MI.
  • Support in delivering the people plan.
  • Contribute to people process and procedural improvements where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Relevant HR advisory experience and excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR practices.
  • Strong HR generalist experience across all areas of Employee Relations.
  • Ideal CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong communication skills, confident, and personable approach.
  • Coaching skills and ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Driving license essential for this role.
