Job Description

At CBS Butler, we are seeking a highly skilled RF Verification and Test Specialist to join our team of experts in specialized components and subsystems for innovative solutions in medical, science, aerospace, defence, and industrial applications.

We are a global leader in the development of microwave power modules and TWTs, and we need someone with a strong background in microwave theory, equipment, and test processes to help us drive our programmes forward.

The successful candidate will have experience working on microwave amplifier systems, test planning, and working from customer, internal, and regulatory compliance requirements. They will also have a strong understanding of defence electronics systems and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test methodology and understand system requirements and functional characteristics
  • Work with test facilities equipment owners, both internal and external, to assemble and develop test set-ups and plan testing
  • Execute test plans and write test reports to demonstrate compliance
  • Liaise with electronics and microwave tube engineers to diagnose and resolve system and component level performance issues

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of microwave theory, equipment, and test processes
  • Experience working on microwave amplifier systems - mW to W
  • Test planning working from customer, internal, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience working on defence electronics systems and projects
  • Degree level or equivalent industrial experience
