Academic Lecturer in Criminology and Justice Studies

The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Criminology team as a permanent, full-time lecturer. This exciting opportunity involves delivering the WJEC Level 3 Criminology Curriculum and our Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice. As a member of our thriving department, you will contribute to a supportive and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
- Plan and prepare schemes of work and assessments aligned with the exam board specification.
- Develop and implement teaching materials to cater to diverse learner needs.
- Monitor and assess learner progress, setting targets and maintaining records of work and achievement.
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, subject knowledge, and innovations in teaching and learning.
- You possess a passion for teaching and learning.
- You hold a degree in Criminology or a relevant qualification.
- You have a teaching qualification or are willing to pursue one.
- You bring expertise in successful teaching practices.
- You will work alongside a team of experienced practitioners in a thriving department.
- You will have the opportunity to teach motivated learners in an FE setting.
