Are you a dedicated professional with experience in residential childcare? We are looking for a passionate and skilled Deputy Manager to contribute to the well-being of children and young people in a supportive setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Guide, mentor, and empower the staff team, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for both employees and residents.
- Supervise the development and evaluation of personalized care plans, ensuring they meet the unique needs of each child.
- Serve as a role model for the team, advocating for best practices in childcare and safeguarding protocols.
- Manage the home effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring consistent care and support for the children.
- Collaborate with external agencies, professionals, and families to promote the welfare and growth of the children.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a children's home as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and regulatory standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins.
