Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team at Brook Street Social Care NMR. As a key member of our staff team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people with emotional and behavioural issues.

About the Role:
  • Provide individualized support and care to children and young people in a residential setting
  • Work collaboratively with the staff team to create a safe and nurturing environment
  • Encourage children to develop their personal and academic skills, as well as participate in extracurricular activities
  • Manage challenging behaviours and provide emotional support to children and young people
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • At least 12 months experience working in a children's residential setting
  • Driver with access to your own vehicle due to the nature of the work
  • Strong desire to support children and young people
  • Excellent observational skills and ability to problem-solve and think creatively
  • Patient, caring, and compassionate with a young person-centred nature
  • Ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with emotional intelligence and resilience
  • Team player with ability to take direction and show initiative
