Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Submarine Safety Engineering Consultant to join our team at BMT. As a key member of our safety engineering team, you will provide technical safety support and subject matter expertise to a wide range of submarine and underwater system related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical safety support and advice to submarine and underwater system related projects
  • Support the delivery of safety projects to schedule, quality, and budget
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their safety requirements and provide solutions
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of safety regulations, policies, and standards
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and management
Requirements
  • Experience in submarine operations and equipment maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of safety management for nuclear facilities and associated authorizing conditions and site licensing arrangements
  • Understanding of safety regulations, policies, and standards relevant to UK MOD approaches to submarine safety
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
