**Job Summary**

Wood Process & Energy is seeking a highly skilled Principal Planner to support a project with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL) on a 12-month contract.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and reporting accurate project schedules and plans to ensure the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit project schedules and plans, ensuring they meet the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support the management and development of the Planning team, including the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation.
  • Act as the focal point for several project scopes, providing expert planning advice and guidance to project teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques, including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading, and levelling.
  • Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling.
  • Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to develop project schedules and plans.
  • Ability to prepare resource loading, progress, and staffing plans.
  • Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost, and schedule variance analyses/trending, and what-if scenarios.
  • Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management.
