Job Description

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Principal Planner to support a project with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL) on a permanent staff basis.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and reporting accurate project schedules and plans to ensure the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting project schedules and plans, ensuring they meet the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Supporting the management and development of the Planning team, including the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation.
  • Acting as the focal point for several project scopes, providing expert planning advice and guidance to project teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques, including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling.
  • Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling.
  • Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to develop project schedules and plans.
  • Ability to prepare resource loading, progress, and staffing plans.
  • Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost, and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios.
  • Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management.
