Job Summary

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Principal Planner to support a project with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL) on a permanent staff basis.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and reporting accurate project schedules and plans to ensure the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit project schedules and plans, ensuring they are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support the management and development of the Planning team, the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation.
  • Act as the focal point for several project scopes, providing expert planning advice and guidance to project teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques, including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling.
  • Proficient understanding of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling.
  • Ability to develop project schedules and plans, prepare resource loading, progress, and staffing plans.
  • Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending, and what-if scenarios.
  • Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management.
