Job Description

Job Title: Personal Assistant Support Specialist

Job Type: Temporary, 6-month assignment

Location: Birmingham City Centre (onsite with hybrid working options)

Hourly Rate: £11.88 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Assistant Support Specialist to provide tailored 1-1 support to a member of staff with a neurodivergent condition and visual impairment. The successful candidate will work closely with the individual to enhance their job performance, achieve professional growth, and contribute to the Talent, Learning and Development (T,L&D) team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support in navigating unfamiliar environments
  • Assist in dynamic social environments, such as meetings, conferences, and events
  • Attend and provide support in meetings, taking and distributing notes, and ensuring action lists and reminders are accurate and up to date
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and action logs
  • Provide technical support, including aiding the editing of audio-visual media, converting inaccessible documentation into accessible formats, and supporting screen reader users

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office packages
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills, with good data entry skills and strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed prioritization, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a commitment to equality of opportunity
  • Problem-solving skills
