Job Description

The Payroll Officer (Hybrid) role involves:

  • Acting as the primary liaison for payroll and compensation-related policies and processes, providing support to employees and the local HR team.
  • Responsibility for the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 500 employees, ensuring accuracy of data for use with external payroll providers.
  • Administering the new starter process, leaver process, contractual changes, maternity and paternity leave, and other related tasks.
  • Overseeing benefits, pension, and well-being content available to employees on the intranet.
  • Producing insightful payroll and HR analytics to assist the wider HR team in making informed decisions.
  • Collaborating with the Total Rewards Manager and HR Director to develop the broader global compensation and benefits agenda.
  • Staying up-to-date with market trends and best practices, working with the Total Rewards Manager to plan, develop, design, and implement benefit plans and well-being initiatives.
  • Assisting the Total Rewards Manager with sourcing and managing vendors and benefits brokers to ensure employee programs are valuable and vendors provide accurate, compliant, and timely service levels.
  • Working with finance colleagues to ensure accurate financial postings and budget reports.
  • Performing additional ad-hoc payroll and benefit administration tasks and special projects as required.
Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Payroll Officer (Hybrid) role will:

  • Have at least 2+ years of previous payroll experience, preferably in-house payroll from a large business.
  • Possess intermediate Excel skills, including V lookups and pivot tables.
  • Have SAP experience, although not essential.

The Payroll Officer (Hybrid) role offers a base salary of £35-38,000, plus:
