Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Graduate to join our SHEQ team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare project-specific risk assessments, method statements, rescue plans, and lifting plans.
- Conduct competent inspections of PPE, FPE, and RPE.
- Engage with workers to promote a positive safety culture.
- Provide SHEQ compliance, advice, and guidance on applicable legislation and industry best practices.
- Carry out inductions, training, and toolbox talks.
- Monitor, audit, and report on safety, health, environment, and quality performance for yard, logistics, and project operations.
- Promote good practice relating to health, safety, environment, and quality management.
- Support supply chain activities and raise SHEQ standards.
- Assist in investigating and reporting accidents, incidents, and non-conformances, and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Undertake statutory inspections, internal audits, site SHEQ inspections, and PAT testing.
- Ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures across the business.
- Experience working in the construction industry, particularly in working at height, scaffolding, construction hoists, mast climber work platforms, and plant.
- Degree in Health and Safety accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or one of the following qualifications: NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, Professional Membership IOSH/IEMA/CQI.
- Computer literacy, including email, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and report writing skills.
- Problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication skills.
- Experience supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function.
- Typically 2 years of business experience.
