As a Health and Safety Graduate, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing project-specific risk assessments, method statements, rescue plans, and lifting plans
  • Conducting competent inspections of PPE, FPE, and RPE
  • Engaging with workers to promote a safe working environment
  • Providing SHEQ compliance, advice, and guidance on applicable legislation and industry best practices
  • Carrying out inductions, training, and toolbox talks
  • Monitoring, auditing, and reporting on safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) performance for yard, logistics, and project operations
  • Promoting good practice relating to health, safety, environment, and quality management
  • Supporting supply chain activities and raising SHEQ standards
  • Assisting in the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents, and non-conformances, and making recommendations for corrective action
  • Undertaking statutory inspections, internal audits, site SHEQ inspections, and PAT testing
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of policies and procedures across the business
Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Experience working within the construction industry, particularly in working at height, scaffolding, construction hoists, mast climber work platforms, and plant
  • A degree in Health & Safety accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or one of the following qualifications: NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, Professional Membership IOSH/IEMA/CQI
  • Computer literacy, including email, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with essential skills for report writing
  • Problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication skills
  • Experience supporting a business contract and/or providing support to a professional function
  • A likely 2 years of business experience
