Finance Administrator Job Description

Smyth Recruitment is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join their dynamic team in the Tallaght area.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.
  • Generate invoices for clients accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Track and process company expenses, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
  • Assist in controlling costs and identifying potential savings.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist the financial controller in preparing budget forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors when necessary.
  • Assist in special financial projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in Finance Admin/bookkeeping, preferably within the construction/engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAGE 50) and MS Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Irish tax laws and regulations is a plus.

Salary: NEG depending on experience.
