CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team at a prominent commercial building in Wembley.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the building's mechanical systems. Your expertise will contribute to a comfortable and efficient environment for tenants and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring Mechanical Plant: Proactively oversee pumps, motors, seals, bearings, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • HVAC Expertise: Maintain and service air conditioning systems, including air handling units and fan coil units. This includes tasks such as filter changes and cleaning to guarantee efficient airflow and temperature control.
  • Water Treatment Systems: Conduct regular checks on water treatment systems, monitoring temperatures and ensuring proper functionality.
  • Plumbing Maintenance: Address plumbing issues promptly and effectively, including unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers, and other fixtures.
  • BMS System Oversight: Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to track system performance, identify anomalies, and ensure seamless building operations.
  • Basic Electrical Support: Perform routine electrical tasks such as lamp changes and minor repairs.
  • Building Fabric Maintenance: Contribute to the overall upkeep of the building's fabric by addressing minor repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Contractor Coordination: Effectively escort and manage specialist sub-contractors when required for complex tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Proven mechanical qualifications at levels 2 & 3 (C&G, NVQ or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a large commercial building environment.
  • A valid trade certificate is essential.
  • A strong track record of success in commercial building maintenance.
  • Multi-skilled capabilities with proficiency in both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, tenants, and contractors.
