Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial building - Monday to Friday - Wembley  – £45,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Wembley has arisen CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a large commercial building in Wembley. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £45,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor mechanical plant
  • Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
  • Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
  • Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
  • Monitor the BMS systems.
  • Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
  • General building fabric
  • Escort specialist subcontractors
  • Undertake repairs to HVAC Plant and Associated Systems to a high standard.
  • Undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems as needed.
  • Have the ability to undertake repairs to pumps within the workshop, including replacement of Mechanical Seals and other common causes of pump failure.
  • Have a good understanding of BMS and Control Systems associated with Mechanical Plant and Equipment to assist fault diagnosis and correct set up.
  • To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipework and associated mechanical systems or as directed.
  • Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the mechanical aspects of the plant

Requirements
  • Mechanically qualified level 2 (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • Experience working in a large commercial building
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
