Job Description

**Job Title:** Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems in a large commercial building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain mechanical plant, including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on air conditioning systems, including air handling units and fan coil units.
  • Conduct water treatment checks and ensure proper dosing.
  • Carry out plumbing tasks, including unblocking toilets and replacing taps and washers.
  • Monitor Building Management System (BMS) systems and perform basic electrical duties.
  • Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time and all problems are recorded and communicated to the Shift Lead or Supervisor.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with set schedules.
  • Be proactive in preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.
  • Adhere to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues.

Requirements:

  • Mechanically qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • Experience working in a large commercial building
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Must be able to get to site for 07:00am start

Working Hours:

Continental Shift: 07:00 am-19:00 pm / 19:00 pm -07:00 am
