About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geophysical Equipment Technician to join our Geophysical Engineering Workshop Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance, assembly, calibration, and repair of geophysical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly inspect geophysical instruments to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, refurbishing, and replacing worn-out parts and diagnose and repair faulty equipment.
  • Calibrate geophysical instruments to ensure precise measurements and maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Operate forklift trucks and organize warehouse and yard spaces.
  • Assist in the mobilization of vessels away from base.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment in the workshop.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
