Your Role:
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving software innovation within our Mission Systems capability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in software requirements analysis and design.
  • Defining software architecture and preparing related documentation.
  • Developing and coding software for embedded computer units.
  • Integrating embedded software with hardware, including debugging and testing processes.

Required Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree (BEng, MEng, or MSc) in Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Software Engineering.
  • Proficiency in embedded software development and C/C++ programming.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design and UML formalism.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN, or Redmine).
  • Experience in safety-critical applications within high-risk environments is preferred.
  • Experience in the Defence industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A collaborative team player who supports colleagues.
  • A logical thinker with a passion for problem-solving.
  • Current SC clearance or eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.
