We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Dietitian to join our team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Dietitian, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing nutritional input for a wide range of patients in an acute NHS hospital. You will be part of a well-coordinated, specialist multi-professional team working closely with nursing and medical colleagues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialist dietetic assessments for patients in the acute inpatient service, including those with gastroenterology and surgical needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized dietetic plans for patients with complex nutritional support needs on the medical and surgical wards.
  • Collaborate with the team to adapt dietetic practice to meet the needs of patients, services, and locations.
  • Participate in ongoing service evaluation and development, working closely with the line manager and team.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working as a Band 6 Dietitian in an NHS trust
Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in enteral nutrition support
  • Ability to deliver undergraduate student supervision and clinical education to graduate standard in the area of specialty
  • Effective use of IT systems, including data inputting, word processing, internet, and dietary analysis
  • Accurate anthropometric measurements and skills, such as weights, heights, and skin fold calipers, to assess patients' nutritional status and devise clinical plans
