Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partnerships Officer to join our Income Generation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and engaging high-value individual supporters, legacy pledgers, members, and major donor prospects to develop relationships that sustainably support our strategic priorities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective stewardship strategies to build strong relationships with key supporters.
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including major gifts and legacy giving.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional experiences for valued supporters through impactful stewardship, face-to-face meetings, and cultivation events.
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value supporters, providing regular updates and reports on their giving.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement fundraising strategies that meet our income targets.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience of donor or customer care, with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others to give of their time, money, and expertise.
  • Ability to work across teams and departments, inspiring, engaging, and enabling colleagues to achieve results.
  • Flexible approach to change, innovation, and progress in the work environment.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver results to a high standard.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant sales, marketing, or fundraising qualification, such as from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising or Corndel.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle for business use.
  • Previous experience of using a customer relationship or donor management database.
