Electrical Technician Job Description

CF Industries is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team at our Billingham Manufacturing site in the UK. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems, including fault finding and diagnostic testing.
  • Install, inspect, and test electrical equipment and systems, including cable containment and wiring.
  • Perform isolations, de-isolations, and functional tests on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Assist in the upkeep of plant drawings and documentation, including reporting errors to supervision.
  • Participate in training to enhance skills and meet company competency requirements.
  • Review and assist in the upkeep of technical data and manuals.
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety risks and familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Competent Person 'A' status under FW66.
  • Partially authorised person under the CF HV Rules.
  • Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on safety and reliability. The role will involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and with electrical equipment and systems.
