Job Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Transport Administrator to become a vital part of our team.

Salary: £26,906 per annum.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm).

The role of a Transport Administrator involves providing essential administrative support and ensuring the accuracy of data, while meeting deadlines and contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational success by ensuring all Proof of Delivery (POD) and Return processes align with established policies.
  • Coordinate collection bookings for clients and manage the necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate delivery bookings for clients.
  • Address and resolve any collection-related inquiries.
  • Ensure all documentation is returned for customer deliveries dispatched from the facility, and follow up on outstanding PODs.
  • Communicate effectively with personnel at other locations and external partners.
  • Handle photocopying, printing, organizing, and storing both physical and digital documents.
  • Manage the inbound scheduling for all clients.
  • Monitor the daily workflow of clean PODs.
  • Oversee period-end spreadsheets.
  • Compile lists of outstanding PODs and liaise with hauliers for follow-up.
  • Report on outstanding PODs on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable position.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet targets.
