About the Role:

Blue Oak Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packaging Buyer to join our client's team. As a leader in their sector, our client understands the importance of packaging in their success and is now looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced professional to ensure the packaging meets high-quality standards while remaining cost-effective and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and purchasing all packaging materials required for our products
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible deals
  • Managing inventory levels to ensure the business has the right amount of packaging materials at the right time
  • Ensuring quality standards are met and contributing to our sustainability goals
  • Working cross-functionally to ensure all packaging solutions align with operational needs
  • Identifying areas for cost savings and executing these without compromising on quality
  • Leading initiatives to incorporate more sustainable packaging options in line with our environmental goals
  • Staying up-to-date on market trends and innovation with regards to packaging materials

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in packaging procurement
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and sustainability practices
