About the Role

GIC Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Private Credit Group as an Analyst/Associate. This is a three-year contract as part of our Associate programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in senior and subordinated debt instruments.
  • Leading diligencing opportunities, building financial models, screening ideas, and discussing potential investments internally.
  • Participating in portfolio management, including monitoring existing positions, valuing incremental debt opportunities, and negotiating terms amendments as needed.
  • Establishing credibility with internal and external counterparties, such as corporates, private equity funds, lawyers, and bankers.
  • Identifying new investment opportunities and analysing attractions and potential risks to create value for the firm.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful execution of investment strategies.
Requirements
  • A curious and inquisitive mindset, coupled with a passion for understanding businesses and assessing legal documentation and strong attention to detail.
  • A strong academic background, with a Bachelor's degree being the minimum requirement.
  • Demonstrated success in previous roles.
  • Hands-on experience in transactional processes and proficient financial modelling skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional work ethic and a collaborative and flexible approach to teamwork.
  • Experience in deal execution, including negotiation, deal structuring and pricing, due diligence, and legal closing, is a plus.
