Investment Origination Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Origination Associate to join our team at The Scottish National Investment Bank. As an Investment Origination Associate, you will play a key role in identifying, structuring, and executing successful investment opportunities in the Net Zero and energy transition sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Investment Origination team with identifying, structuring, and executing investment opportunities in the Net Zero and energy supply chain sectors.
  • Create and refine financial, commercial, and impact models to guide decision-making and ensure alignment with the Bank's strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain professional networks within the energy and innovation ecosystem, actively supporting origination efforts.
  • Support the preparation of internal presentations and investment papers, ensuring all transactions align with Bank policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide general project management support and contribute to broader Bank-wide initiatives.
About You:
  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field coupled with Professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA) are highly regarded.
  • Experience in M&A, investment banking, or a corporate transactional role is desirable.
  • Proven financial analysis and modelling skills, with excellent Excel proficiency.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
  • Alignment with the Bank's mission and values.

We offer a salary range of £51-59k, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including 30 days annual leave, public holidays, a 12% non-contributory pension, and more.
