Heliport Security Specialist – Bristow

We are looking for a dedicated full-time permanent Heliport Security Specialist to become a vital member of the Bristow team, ensuring the essential security measures that are crucial for both flight and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage access and exit to restricted zones within the heliport.
  • Conduct necessary security inspections of travelers and their belongings to guarantee compliance with regulatory, Bristow, and client standards. This includes both manual inspections and the utilization of x-ray technology.
  • Perform regular patrols of the terminals and surrounding areas to identify any security violations, such as unattended baggage.
  • Provide assistance to travelers regarding any security-related inquiries.
  • Support the team during emergency situations by executing assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain vigilance for any safety threats or hazards, taking appropriate actions in line with departmental protocols.
  • Engage in additional terminal/base tasks as needed to support operations.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Experience with x-ray equipment and a valid NXCT certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ground Security Officer (GSO) Level 1 certification is advantageous, though not essential.
  • SIA license is not a requirement.

Experience:

Prior experience in an aviation or security operational setting is highly valued, although comprehensive training will be provided. Candidates should possess experience in customer-facing roles and have a passion for this type of work.

  • Meticulous and reliable in executing duties consistently and fairly, adhering to established procedures.

  • Capability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when necessary.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.

Please note that this position requires successful candidates to apply for and obtain a Disclosure Scotland certificate, with the company covering this cost.

The role may involve some shift work and occasional weekend duties.

Candidates should also be capable of lifting items weighing up to 25lb, which is the maximum weight for a single piece of luggage permitted on our flights.
