Cyber Security Specialist

Job Overview:
Important Note:
This position necessitates a commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring operational security. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Engineering and Operations team, along with other Digital and Technology sectors, in daily cyber defense and security operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance and manage administrative tasks within various technical security platforms. You will actively employ a range of tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and coordinate mitigation strategies to reduce potential attack vectors. It is essential to ensure that all security operations are in accordance with national standards set by recognized frameworks.
Qualifications Required:
- A degree or relevant professional experience in Cyber Security or Computer Science.
- Formal training in managing common ICT Security systems, voice and data networks, or operating systems.
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of technological safeguards to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Familiarity with Cyber Security best practices.
- Skills in Incident and Problem Management.
- Experience in administering Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
- Background in IT operations.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle confidential matters.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in at least three of the following areas:
- Management of Voice and Data Communication Technologies
- Administration of Server and Desktop operating systems
- Management of Directory Services
- Administration of Corporate Email systems
- Management of Gateway Security systems
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts independently.
- Capability to generate intelligence reports from relevant systems.
