Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team at German Doner Kebab. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of quality control, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Operations Excellence:
    • Oversee and manage the Front of House area, ensuring seamless service delivery and strong customer satisfaction.
    • Respond efficiently to customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
    • Enforce and maintain the highest quality of products and services.
    • Organize and supervise Front of House responsibilities to ensure team and customer satisfaction.
    • Train and direct team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
    • Appraise personnel performance and provide feedback to motivate and engage the team.
    • Maintain accurate stock inventory and analyze consumption.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
    • Promote and publicize the German Doner Kebab brand.
    • Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example.
    • Monitor Front of House operations and initiate corrective actions.
    • Assume duty manager responsibilities on a rotational basis.
    • Lead pre- and post-shift rallies to communicate targets, share feedback, and brief the team on business-related information.
    • Take ownership of Front of House business performance and ensure operations align with German Doner Kebab guidelines.
    • Address the root cause of Front of House-related customer complaints and take action to resolve issues.
    • Ensure all employees adhere to company uniform standards.
    • Meet and greet customers, organize table reservations, and supervise dining and counter staff.
    • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
    • Prepare cash drawers and provide petty cash as required.
    • Assist in any Front of House position as needed.
    • Take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity, and a positive attitude within the working environment.
    • Complete daily reports at the end of each shift.
    • Attend training or meetings as required by German Doner Kebab or the Franchisee.
    • Perform other duties as designated by the Operations Manager due to business demands.
    • Collaborate with the General Store Manager to coordinate Front of House aspects.
    • Monitor stock storage areas and maintain a clean and organized Front of House environment.
    • Collaborate with the General Store Manager and Store Team to ensure tight stock control and budgeted margins are achieved.
    • Complete daily paperwork.
    • Meet and greet customers, role-model exceptional guest care, and lead by example.
    • Support team colleagues at peak times and undertake operational duties as required to meet guest expectations.
    • Ensure the Front of House team is well-groomed and smart at all times.
    • Adhere to legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business.
    • Maintain a good working knowledge of equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

    • Restaurant management team.
    • Guests and delivery drivers.
    • GDK personnel.
    • Restaurant Franchisee.
  • Qualifications:

A qualified candidate for this position should possess outstanding interactive and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player. In addition to these skills, the following qualities, knowledge, and abilities are highly sought:

  • Proven working experience as a Supervisor/Duty Manager within the Food Industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in guest service management.
  • Extensive knowledge of guest care.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
  • Financial management skills.
