Director of Fundraising & Communications

Bristol Charities is seeking an experienced and passionate fundraising professional to lead their fundraising and communications strategy. As Director of Fundraising & Communications, you will play a key role in shaping the charity's future and securing the resources needed to deliver sustainable growth.

The successful candidate will have extensive fundraising experience, specifically across key areas of income generation, and relevant professional qualifications or experience in fundraising or communications. They will also have leadership experience at a senior executive level, with a proven track record of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives.

The Director of Fundraising will be responsible for creating, developing, and implementing fundraising plans to support the delivery of all projects and programmes. They will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to set the direction for the charity and tackle strategic challenges.

Bristol Charities is at an exciting time in their development, with plans to relaunch The Vassall Centre as a standout, accessible, and affordable workspace venue for charitable organisations. The charity is also looking to increase the number of housing units they manage, incorporating their new Hub model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of fundraising plans to support the delivery of all projects and programmes
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees to deliver fundraising and marketing objectives
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to set the direction for the charity and tackle strategic challenges
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy to support fundraising efforts

Requirements:

  • Extensive fundraising experience, specifically across key areas of income generation
  • Relevant professional qualifications or experience in fundraising or communications
  • Leadership experience at a senior executive level
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with key stakeholders, colleagues, and Trustees
