We are seeking a Lead Civil Engineering Specialist for a dynamic consultancy known for its innovative approach in the field. This medium-sized organization boasts a team of approximately 70 professionals across multiple vibrant offices. You will collaborate with a network of supportive and experienced engineers, fostering an environment conducive to exceptional design work and professional growth.

Lead Civil Engineering Specialist - Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of drainage systems, utility services, roadway infrastructure, and earthworks across a diverse portfolio of projects, including industrial, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, and recreational developments.
  • Creation of detailed drawings from initial concepts through to construction phases.
  • Preparation of essential documentation such as Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, and Service Strategy Reports, alongside the design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems.
  • Design and detailing of projects related to highway agreements (s.278, s.38, etc.) and drainage agreements (s.104, s.185, etc.).
  • Conducting site audits and feasibility studies.
  • Providing management, leadership, and mentorship to team members in executing technical tasks and report generation.



Lead Civil Engineering Specialist - Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic degree complemented by several years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in drafting reports such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
  • Experience in designing foul and surface water drainage systems utilizing MicroDrainage software.
  • Familiarity with ground modeling software for highway and earthworks design.
  • Experience collaborating with highway and drainage authorities, as well as the Environment Agency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of national guidelines, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Traffic Signs Regulations, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, and Building Regulations.
