This role offers a varied workload, allowing involvement in all project phases from initial design to on-site construction.

Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (MEng, BEng, or BSc) with a goal of achieving Chartered status.
- A minimum of 3 years of detailed design experience in Road and Highway projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage software.
- Experience in preparing reports such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
- Capability in designing foul and surface water drainage systems and conducting vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack.
- Familiarity with ground modeling software for horizontal and vertical alignment design, as well as earthworks.
- Experience in liaising with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the Environment Agency.
- Understanding of national guidelines and regulations.
- Valid driving license.
- Adept at thriving in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies.
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
- Draft contract documents, oversee contractor procurement, and supervise on-site activities.
- Manage projects effectively.
- Design and detail works related to highway agreements (s.278, s.38, etc.) and drainage agreements.
- Participate in client meetings.
- Supervise design and maintenance of highway schemes.
