The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure projects, including drainage, service, and road infrastructure. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop creative solutions to project challenges.

  • Design and prepare associated drawings from concept stage through to construction.
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, and Service Strategy Reports.
  • Design and detail works associated with highway drainage agreements.
  • Grow civil engineering expertise and maintain client relationships.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant degree and at least 1 year's post-graduate experience in a civil engineering role.
  • Experience writing reports, such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
  • Experience preparing drawings using AutoCAD and designing foul and surface water drainage systems using MicroDrainage.
  • Experience using ground modelling software for design and earthworks.
  • Experience of negotiations with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the Environment Agency.
  • Knowledge of national guidance, such as the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
