Specialty Doctor in Neurology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Neurology to join our Critical Care team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective immediate care for critically ill patients of all ages, working closely with our team of Consultants, Junior medical staff, and ACCPs to deliver a high-quality Anaesthetic Service.
Main Responsibilities- Participate in the delivery of a safe and effective Anaesthetic Service, actively engaging with the team to ensure seamless care for patients.
- Provide out-of-hours cover on a 1:8 rota, working flexibly to meet the needs of the Critical Care Unit.
- Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement activities, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Supervise and teach anaesthetic trainees and medical students from Keele Medical School, promoting excellence in medical education.

Person Specification- MBBS qualification
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- At least 2 years of full-time anaesthetist experience after primary medical qualification or equivalent critical care experience
- Ability to provide safe and effective immediate care for critically ill patients of all ages
- Primary FRCA or equivalent qualification
- Current ALS certification
- APLS/ATLS or equivalent qualification
