Project Overview

As a Business Development Executive, your primary responsibility will be to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, while establishing and maintaining relationships with prospective clients. You will play a crucial role in generating a pipeline for new business revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset and be driven by key performance indicators (KPIs), with the ability to forge enduring relationships and adopt a consultative approach to demand generation and business development.

Role Description

Responsibilities:

Lead Qualification: Engage with automatically qualified leads (AQLs) to evaluate their suitability and potential as sales opportunities. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to enhance lead qualification criteria.

Opportunity Development: Connect with prospects through outbound calls, email correspondence, and professional networking to build relationships and comprehend their business requirements.

Meeting Scheduling: Arrange meetings for qualified prospects with the Business Development Management team, ensuring a seamless transition from AQL to Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL).

CRM Management: Keep precise and current records of all interactions and lead progression within our CRM system (HubSpot), alongside ongoing data enrichment through prospect research.

Intelligence-Led Demand Generation: Leverage data and insights to shape outreach strategies and customize messaging to resonate with target prospects through sequencing and contact cadence activities.

Multi-Channel Engagement: Utilize a multi-channel strategy for business development, employing various platforms and methods to connect with and engage potential clients.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in a business development or sales role within a B2B context, ideally in the technology sector.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, and experience in demand generation activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with prospects.
  • Self-driven and proactive, with a history of meeting or surpassing KPIs.
  • Experience with a multi-channel approach, including phone, email, and professional networking.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to utilize data and insights to enhance engagement strategies.
  • Understanding of prospect qualification frameworks such as BANT.
