Job Description

About the Role

Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled Database Technology Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our ICT department, you will be responsible for setting the Trust's database technology strategy and vision, making decisions on the operations of all Trust SQL Database Management Systems (DBMS), and continually improving database performance and maintaining data quality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive database technology strategy that aligns with the Trust's business objectives
  • Design and implement new database systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
  • Manage and maintain existing databases, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency
  • Plan and manage multiple database projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively
  • Collaborate with the HOD to set departmental goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the Trust's overall strategy

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL technology and database management systems
  • Proven experience in database design, development, and implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
