Job Description

Job Title: Early Help Autism Service Specialist

Job Summary:

The Early Help Autism Service Specialist will work under supervision to provide short-term home-based autism programs to children with an autism diagnosis or undergoing an assessment for autism, their parents/carers/siblings, in order to enhance carer's skills and abilities and thus improve family functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized autism programs for children and their families
  • Provide training and support to parents/carers on autism-related topics
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children with autism
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of children and their families
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure a seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in autism support and family engagement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
