Barnardo's is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our growing team as Keyworkers. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, young people (up to 25 years) with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, and their families.

As a Keyworker, you will be instrumental in providing crucial support within various settings, including family homes, placements, and inpatient facilities. Your primary focus will be on preventing the need for inpatient admissions or placements whenever possible. You'll work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being and development of these children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support to children, young people, and their families within diverse settings.
  • Ensure the 'voice' of the child and family is central to all interventions, promoting lived experience as a catalyst for positive change.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a similar role or a demonstrable understanding of the needs of this population.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.

If you are a dedicated and compassionate individual who is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children, we encourage you to apply.
