Position Overview

As a Junior Business Analyst at the University of Bristol, you will play a vital role in assisting Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts across various project and program initiatives. Your interactions will span diverse groups, enabling effective collaboration and support.

Key Responsibilities
You will lead the analysis of smaller scale work requests while being guided by experienced mentors to enhance your Business Analysis skills and tools.

Your role will involve acting as a bridge between technical experts and policy specialists, as well as the broader business community. You will evaluate the conditions and future objectives of change initiatives, consolidating relevant details regarding people, processes, and technology to inform strategic decisions aimed at addressing specific business challenges and opportunities.

Additionally, you will contribute to a proactive team that guides sponsors and stakeholders in delivering IT transformations that yield business benefits and align with the University's forward-looking strategy.

What You Will Be Doing
You will engage with a variety of stakeholders throughout the organization to support the discovery, planning, and execution of numerous change initiatives. These may range from significant infrastructure modifications to new software implementations, innovative research endeavors, and enhancements to the student experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining business challenges and gathering requirements.
  • Understanding current processes and articulating future objectives.
  • Documenting business cases to substantiate the benefits and return on investment of proposed solutions.

As projects progress beyond the discovery phase, you will manage ongoing requirements, evaluate change requests against original project goals, support testing efforts, and ensure that business sponsors can measure the sustained benefits of projects.
