Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Support Officer at Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine, on a fixed-term/secondment basis.

Key Responsibilities:

You will deliver a comprehensive and confidential clerical and administrative support service to the Learning Disability Service (LDS) within the North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates should possess 'O' Grade / Standard Grade Credit or National 5 qualifications in English and Maths, an SVQ Level II qualification in Administration or equivalent experience, and a recognized IT qualification in Microsoft Office applications.

Additionally, you should have advanced keyboard skills, experience managing electronic filing systems, and a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Experience in an NHS environment and familiarity with NHS inter-disciplinary networks are advantageous.

You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintain strict confidentiality, and possess the flexibility to adapt to changing demands and last-minute requests.

Work Hours:

The position requires 18.6 hours per week, which can be scheduled over five mornings or two and a half days each week.

Important Information:

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to the implementation of a reduced working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland, ensuring no loss of earnings. However, there may be instances where full transition may take longer, and staff may need to work standard hours until the department can safely accommodate the new schedule.
