About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as the Head of Governance and Quality at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our quality governance and safety functions, working closely with our leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our quality governance and safety strategies, ensuring alignment with national regulatory frameworks and current emerging issues.
- Provide expert-level guidance and support to our clinical teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the maintenance of clinical standards.
- Manage and develop our trust-wide digital risk and incident management systems, ensuring effective incident reporting and learning.
- Lead on the investigation and learning response for serious incidents, ensuring compliance with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies for our patient safety programs, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Manage and analyze our patient safety-related information assets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Lead on the review and update of our Patient Safety Incident Response Plan and Policy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching and mentoring support to our governance team, ensuring the development of their skills and knowledge.
- Engage with our staff to promote staff wellbeing and ensure the recruitment and retention of staff with the required competencies.
- Manage multiple budgets and teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and performance management.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or relevant experience.
- Significant experience in quality governance in a healthcare setting, including experience of delivering a risk management strategy and associated trust-wide training.
- Experience of effectively delivering a full range of quality governance functions across multiple services, including experience of managing and developing trust-wide digital risk and incident management systems.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership ability and experience of successfully managing staff and performance across multiple teams.
- Experience of effective partnership working with multiple external agencies and stakeholders, including experience of writing and presenting reports at senior management and board level.
- Experience of managing multiple budgets and teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and performance management.
