About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Specialist Occupational Therapist at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with a variety of clinical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop tailored interventions to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based practice and the enhancement of patient care.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience in rehabilitation therapy, with a strong understanding of clinical conditions and treatment options.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of independence and initiative.
