About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pain Medicine Consultant to join our dedicated team at Dorset HealthCare. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional pain management services to patients across Dorset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pain assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse pain conditions.
- Perform a range of interventional procedures, including nerve blocks, injections, and other advanced techniques to effectively manage pain.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pain management research and best practices.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through audit and research activities.
Essential Requirements:
- Hold a General Medical Qualification (e.g., MBBS) or equivalent, with a valid Licence to Practise.
- Membership of the Royal College of Anaesthetics or an equivalent recognized body.
- Possession or imminent completion of a CCT in Anaesthetics.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in pain management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
