We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Pain Medicine to join our team at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Pain Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with chronic pain, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with chronic pain, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of pain conditions.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists, to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of patients to monitor their progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improving patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pain management policies and procedures.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Membership of the Royal College of Anaesthetics or recognised equivalent in any other country.
- Experience in pain management and a strong understanding of pain conditions and treatment options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
