About the Role

As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist Senior at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong understanding of health and safety principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Improve Site Performance: You will be responsible for monitoring site performance against set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and developing plans to improve processes and reduce risks.
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Programs: You will design and implement health and safety programs and training sessions to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Analyze Safety Metrics and Trends: You will analyze safety metrics and incident trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct Audits and Implement Solutions: You will conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety laws and regulations, and implement solutions to address any identified risks.
A Day in the Life

You will be based on-site at one of our facilities, where you will work closely with employees and management to identify and mitigate risks. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to ensure that employees have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs safely.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: A NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ5 level or equivalent qualification in health and safety.
  • Experience: Experience working with UK Environment, Health and Safety legislation and a strong understanding of health and safety principles.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
