About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Complex Mental Health Worker to join our team at SeeAbility. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and practical support to individuals with complex mental health needs, including personal care, daily living tasks, and medication administration.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote independence and well-being.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting a calm and non-judgmental approach in crisis situations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of positive behaviour support plans, working closely with the support team to promote positive outcomes.
  • Assist individuals in planning and achieving their goals, including short-term and long-term aims.
  • Participate in team meetings and forums, contributing to the development of best practices and sharing knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs, including behaviours that challenge and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour support principles and practices, with a commitment to promoting positive outcomes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies and procedures.
