Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct and practical support to individuals with complex mental health needs, including personal care, daily living tasks, and medication administration.
- Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote independence and well-being.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting a calm and non-judgmental approach in crisis situations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of positive behaviour support plans, working closely with the support team to promote positive outcomes.
- Assist individuals in planning and achieving their goals, including short-term and long-term aims.
- Participate in team meetings and forums, contributing to the development of best practices and sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs, including behaviours that challenge and trauma-informed care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support principles and practices, with a commitment to promoting positive outcomes.
