Key Responsibilities

Ensure Exceptional Catering Services

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with local food standards and best practices.
  • Optimize waste management through effective recycling strategies.
  • Manage procurement and logistics for food supplies and related materials.
  • Monitor and manage the catering budget, providing regular financial reports.
  • Guarantee that food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality.
  • Lead and supervise staff involved in catering operations, promoting safe working conditions.
  • Collaborate with training leaders to stay informed on industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
  • Build partnerships with local food suppliers to enhance our resource base and reduce costs.

Oversee Our Award-Winning Culinary Training Program

  • Prepare the kitchen and ingredients while supervising trainees with diverse support needs during meal service.
  • Work closely with training coordinators to deliver effective culinary education.
  • Provide constructive feedback to trainees, addressing their performance and support requirements.
  • Identify and facilitate additional training opportunities for participants to achieve their culinary goals.
  • Establish a rotating schedule of tasks to provide varied experiences for trainees.

Manage Staff and Volunteers

  • Collaborate with volunteer management to recruit and support a team of volunteers assisting in food preparation.
  • Oversee the recruitment and ongoing development of kitchen staff.
  • Engage corporate volunteers in meaningful culinary challenges within the kitchen environment.

Participate in Strategic Planning and Evaluation

  • Contribute to the strategic planning processes that align with our organizational goals.
  • Assist in developing and implementing evaluation measures for culinary activities, ensuring compliance with funding criteria.
